La British Academy of Film and Television Arts ha decretato anche quest’annoi vincitori per i migliori film inglesi. Durante la cerimonia condotta dall’attore Richard E. Grant alla Royal Festival Hall di Londra sono stati consegnati i più importanti premi del cinema britannico.

Trionfatore assoluto Niente di nuovo sul fronte occidentale, il film Netflix di Edward Berger, che si è aggiudicato ben sette premi (da quattordici nomination). Vedremo se anche agli Oscar verrà confermato vincitore.

 

Gli spiriti dell’isola di Martin McDonagh,è stato riconosciuto Miglior Film Britannico; Barry Keoghan e Kerry Condon sono stati premiati rispettivamente come Migliore Attore e Migliore Attrice non protagonista. Sicuramente durante la notte degli Oscar questo film riceverà importanti riconoscimenti. Tra i protagonisti, trionfano Cate Blanchett per Tár e Austin Butler per Elvis.
